Film Photos in Joliet

While I was in Joliet, the talented hair stylist, Vittoria, approached me with a idea: capture a couple taking their hair down in a photograph. We were both thrilled about the concept, so we decided to shoot the entire session on 35 mm and 4x5 film. The unpredictability of film added a lot of excitement and anticipation to the whole process!

I want to express gratitude to everyone who played a part in bringing Vittoria's vision to life. From the lovely couple who graciously agreed to be our models, to the amazing Mandi who entertained kiddos in the river while we worked.

It's wild how Vittoria and Mandi have been collaborators since I was a fledgling photography student at Columbia. It's wonderful to witness the continuation of our coven, even after college. I just love how our shared passion for creating art continues bringing us together <3
