People of Joliet - Instant Film Portraits

New Orleans North, a lively festival held in downtown Joliet, is a true celebration of music, art, and the spirit of the community. I had the wonderful opportunity to share my love of analog film by setting up a booth alongside Wayward Art Haus armed with Room 620's magnificent 4x5 Toyo camera and instant film.

The use of instant film heightened the anticipation as we watched the photographs develop right before our eyes. It was a tangible experience that bridged the gap between the digital and physical worlds. After scanning each photo, I was able to provide each person with their own copy to take home.

At the heart of this blog post are the remarkable individuals who visited our booth that day.

The instant film portraits serve as a testament to the community's diversity and beauty. I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who allowed me to photograph them. It was a true honor to capture these portraits.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful faces, stories, and being a part of this magical experience with Art Movement Joliet.
