Alicia Diamond

Content Creation

I love to make photographs for brands, businesses or community organizations. These photos become a documentation of the work and are used for years in everything from social media to print.

Website Creation

I love helping artist and makers tell their story and make money! Here are a few websites I have made:
Native Diamonds
Native Works
Chief Seattle Club
Williams Family Carvers
Sue Regis Glass Art

Writing

Listening to the story and writing it down is usually the first step for me. To see an example of my writing, visit my article in Real Change.

Accessibility

Alicia is a member of The Seattle Cultural Accessibility Consortium which was founded in 2018 to increase accessibility in the Seattle arts community

Urban ArtWorks

As the Communications Specialist for Urban ArtWorks, collaborating with fellow artists is a joy. Sharing insights, brainstorming concepts, and merging individual talents contribute to the creation of impactful and visually compelling messages that resonate with our audience. In this environment, collaboration is not merely a means to an end; it is an ongoing source of inspiration that elevates the collective artistic experience. Urban ArtWorks envisions a world where all people have access to the transformative power of creating public art, this is possible because of collaboration on every level.

Stories

I love collaborating to tell stories that need to be heard. Here is a story Sara and I made about Eagle Village.

Annual Reports

I love when organizations give their community a microphone. Their stories show the ways your work has made a difference. Annual reports do a deep dive on a year of stories. Here is a story I made with Wanda for RiseBoro.

Printed Pieces

I love when photographs take on a life of their own. This is a portrait I made for Chief Seattle Club. HeadWater people placed the portrait onto “Ordinance Number 5” from 1865 which prohibited any Duwamish Nation person from being inside the City Limits after dusk. The piece became a statement when it covered the fences of the first Native housing in Chief Seattle Clubs landmark housing project ?al?al (pronounced all-all)

Portraits

Whether it’s headshots, documentary or editorial photos, making portraits is where I see people shine. This is a portrait I made of Lloyd for social enterprise Native Works.
This portrait went on to become a sticker that found its way all the way to The Stranger, Seattle.

Historical Lens

I have had the honor of creating campaigns for two organizations celebrating a legacy of work. This has involved going through historical documents, talking to elders in the community and looking through boxes of old photographs from scans with a slide machine and scanning them for digital use. This work became part of annual reports, media releases and website stories.

Experience

from food, music, theatre, travel, or art - experiences make you feel deeper. Many carry cultural history and bring people together. I love collaborating with restaurants, hotels, artists or travel experiences to create stories that show the depth and flavor of these experiences.
