Ismarie has been designing crocheted fashion pieces for over two years now. I started photographing her pieces from the beginning and I have watched as Ismarie has grown in her craft and her vision. Ismarie rang in the New Year in Haiti and when she came back she was more inspired to keep creating and to keep growing in her business Art Lakay . Ismarie's work is so well crafted. I have worn her crocheted tops all year as a swimsuit and I feel more confident while wearing them. She designs custom pieces so if you contact her you can get a custom handmade top for a summer festival or trip to the beach this year.

When I was in Chicago Ismarie modeled her own pieces alongside curated pieces from Burgundy Fox.  If you aren't familiar with Burgundy Fox check them out!  Their podcast is such a source of inspiration for me and they give great business and life advice to women, entrepreneurs and creators. Aside from helping inspire the hustle they also empower and celebrate all women by curating intimate apparel for all sizes. We were over the moon that they partnered with us and Art Lakay for this session at The Robey Hotel
