Wedding: Nate & Stefanie

While Stefani was getting ready in a room with mothers, closest friends and family members the ladies began talking about how Nate and Stefanie met. A small group of women decided over coffee that they all knew the two would absolutely connect.
Nate and Stefanie separately agreed to meet and to their surprise
the matriarchs were right- they fit.

I have known Nate and his best-man Kellen since high school. (Kellen got Jesus carrying Nate tattooed on Kellen’s shin, if that tells you anything about their longstanding friendship.)  Nate owns Demont Guitars in Oswego Il.  (He gave me an acoustic guitar as a Thank You for shooting their nuptials.) Stefani is a grade school teacher with the best sense of humor who loves music. For their first date they went to see “The Giving Tree” play – the Giving Tree Band came full circle and played their reception, they were a huge hit with the little girls.
Nate bought a Viking ring from an archeological dig which he pointed out to me on a piece of paper as proof that it was item number 16. It became his wedding ring. Stefani’s veil was made by a friend. During their ceremony they proved their resilience and team work when the unity candle wouldn’t stay lit.

My other favorite thing about this wedding was that my sister assisted me and acted as a second photographer. There are about 15 images featured here that she shot and I cried when I saw them because I was so proud of her.
Long story short – I am feeling the love a lot.
